Powerhouse Retaining Wall

Project Overview

The scope of work covered the construction of the Powerhouse Retaining Walls, starting from lean concrete placement up to full structural completion and finishing works. The retaining walls vary in height due to the sloping road elevation, requiring careful setting out and continuous elevation monitoring throughout the construction process.

The works included lean concrete application, reinforcement steel installation, formwork erection, concrete pouring, proper curing, and finishing. Attention was given to alignment, verticality, and level control to accommodate the varying wall heights and ensure structural stability.
Execution was challenging due to the changes in elevation, which required adjustments in rebar detailing, formwork configuration, and staging of concrete pours. Despite these complexities, the works were carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards to ensure durability, safety, and long-term performance of the structure.
